Joel Nelson

Funeral for Joel Nelson, 67, of Moulton will be Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Alan Queen officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with Masonic honors.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Mr. Nelson, who died Monday, March 12, 2018, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, he was born, July 23, 1950, to R. V.  Nelson and Cletie Standridge Nelson.   He was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church and Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #542 F. & A. M.  He was preceded in death by Wife - Teresa Nelson, parents, 2 sons-Jeremy Nelson and Jason Nelson, grandson Reece David Nelson
Survivors include:
Son - Jake (Brooke) Nelson
2 Sisters - Janice (David) Baldwin and Idell (Phillip) Blackwood
3 grandchildren
Pallbearers will be members of Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge, Aaron Yamguchi, Wesley Blackwood, Jarred Coker and Zach Ghrigsby.
