Julia Faye (Young) Flannagin

Funeral service for Julia Faye (Young) Flannagin, age 83, of Trinity, will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Prince and Bro. Jonathan Prince officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Flannagin, who died Monday, April 15, 2024, at North Alabama Specialty Hospital, was born April 20, 1940, in Alabama to Ray Young and Erma Willodean Carter Young.  She was preceded in death by her husband, R. C. Flannagin; parents; three sisters, Rosalie McDonald (Johnny), Erma Fagan (Glenn), and Hettie Werdebaugh; and grandson, Brian Whisenant.  

She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Whisenant (Philip), Karen Basden, Tammy Barber, and Christy Jacob (Mark); Ricky Flannagin (Martha), whom she loved like a son; two sisters, Claudia Spillers and Patricia Tipton (Mike); seven grandchildren, Tiffany Plaxco, Nicholas Barber (Brittany), Kyle Barber (Courtney), Kali Henson (Parker), Alex Homan (Keith), Cooper Taylor (Isaac), and Morgan Whisenant; six great-grandchildren, Addison Plaxco, Brailey Barber, Sailor Whisenant, Caison Barber, Harper Homan, and Huck Godwin; and a host of nephews, neices, extended family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Barber, Donald Hood, Jack Herman, Garrett Pilgrim, Parker Henson, and Zachary Prince.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Barber and Timothy Flannagin.
