Athens - Graveside service for James Douglas "Jimmy' Sims, 78, of Athens will be Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Dancy Chapel Cemetery, at 11:00 AM.     Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Parkway Funeral Home. Mr.  Sims, who died Monday, March 18, 2019  was born  August 13, 1940, to Clarence Douglas Sims and Lola Beatrice Beams.   He was preceded in death by:
Father - Clarence Douglas Sims
Mother - Lola Beatrice Beams
 Survivors include:
Spouse - Katherine Sims
Daughter - Jennifer Sims Adams
Brother - Norman "Bucky" ( Pat)  Sims
2 Grand Children - Jason Byrd and Stephanie Byrd Hillyard
Great granddaughter- Lilly Hillyard
Stepson - Danny Cobb
Stepdaughter - Christine Hulsey
