Patricia J. “Pat” Noland passed away on October 14, 2019, at her home in Trinity, Alabama, following a courageous five-year battle against metastatic breast cancer.
Pat was born July 8, 1955, in Bitburg, Germany, to the late Howard McLemore and Marie Jo (Eydt) McLemore. She graduated from Austin High School in 1973 and married her high school sweetheart, Freddie, in 1975; they recently celebrated 44 years of marriage on September 28. Pat worked as a billing clerk for Decatur Utilities for 32 years where she made life-long friends who supported and celebrated her as she continued working during treatments following her diagnosis.
In 1983, Pat gave birth to her only child, Melissa, and the only thing better was becoming beloved Memi to her granddaughters, McKellen in 2012 and Madiland in 2014. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she sang alto in the choir under the direction of her daughter. She loved going to the beach, tending to her many flowers, and cheering on her daughter and granddaughters at their school and extracurricular activities.
Pat is survived by her husband, Fred Noland of Trinity; daughter, Melissa Brown of Trinity; mother, Jo McLemore of Decatur; brother, Bobby McLemore (Goody) of Coconut Creek, Florida; mother-in-law, Connie Noland of Rocky Mount, Virginia; sister-in-law, Annette Noland-McQuaid of Hardy, Virginia; granddaughter, McKellen Brown of Trinity; and granddaughter, Madiland Brown of Trinity.
